Short Hand Forms

Short hand forms take between 4 and 7 minutes to perform

The basic hand form is suitable for beginners and competition

The advanced hand form is usually learned after the long hand form and is also used in competition

     The Long Hand Form

The long hand form takes around 20 minutes to complete

Training in hand form cultivates the mind and has physical benefits

The slow gentle movements avoid the use of strength and overstraining the body

The movements keep the joints supple and improve the function of internal organs

The breathing, in harmony with the actions, is deep allowing a greater intake of oxygen

Blood circulation improves, giving more nourishment to internal organs
